[Tutorial] How to set up Akismet for wordpress blogs?

Setting up

Setting up Akismet is pretty easy. Its just a few steps away.

1. Go to Akismet homepage and click “Get started”.

2. Choose a plan and you’re good to go.

3. Fill in the fields, and you’re now registered with Akismet.
4. You will receive a mail from Akismet containing the key. Copy that key.
5. Open up your WordPress dashboard, and navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
6. Activate Akismet plugin.

7. Click on “Enter your Akismet key”.
8. Now in the opened page, paste they key you copied above and submit it.

    If http call is not allowed then how can I make a server connection of mine and Aksimet?

      I don’t understand your question completely. If a server can’t reach akismet.com, it is almost due to a firewall, proxy server or network change at your hosting provider. You can see that Akismet servers are up all the time. Try contacting them at http://akismet.com/contact/
